چکیده
Previous studies have explored the potential of pomace valorization, with an emphasis on transformation polysaccharide biopolymers pomace-cellulose and hemicellulose to produce high-value bioproducts such as microcrystalline cellulose. Notably, opportunities for exploration biopolymer pomace-lignin its employment in biomedical applications tissue engineering not been comprehensively explored. There is, therefore, a need intervention highlight utilizing biomass resource. This review explores highlights some factors that hinder industrial utilization pomace-lignin. In addition, present covers lignin chemistry, extraction methods, depolymerization approaches, prospects applications. It is anticipated this will aid future decisions regarding preferred approaches valorization

Biopolymer Modifications for Biomedical Applications
Chitosan is typically obtained by deacetylation of chitin under alkaline conditions, which is one of the most abundant organic materials, being second only to cellulose in the amount produced annually by biosynthesis. Chitosan is a linear polysaccharide, composed of glucosamine and Nacetyl glucosamine units linked by (1–4) glycoside bonds. The content of glucosamine is called the degree of deac...
متن کاملBiopolymer Green Lubricant for Sustainable Manufacturing
We report on the preparation of a biopolymer thin film by hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), which can be used as a dry green lubricant in sustainable manufacturing. The thin films were characterized through scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy; the films showed desirable levels of thickness, controllability, and uniformity. Tribology tests als...
متن کاملExtraction of Hemicellulose and Lignin from Sugarcane Bagasse for Biopolymer Films: Green Process
A hemicellulose is any of several heteropolymers , such as arabinoxylans, present along with cellulose in almost all plant cell walls. Hemicellulose has a random, amorphous structure with little strength. It is easily hydrolyzed by dilute acid or base as well as myriad hemicellulase enzymes. In this study, lignin and hemicellulose was extracted from sugarcane bagasse using the ammonium hydrolys...
متن کاملLow-cost Vector Network Analyzer for Biomedical Applications
A low-cost and portable vector network analyzer (VNA) which covered operating frequency between 1MHz to 3GHz is used for vector reflection coefficient and standing wave ratio (swr) of the various microstrip antennas. This paper presents measurements of various ultra wideband (uwb) microstrip antennas for applications in biomedical field. Selection of antenna is an important key for detection of...
